Where is Stanthorpe?

We’re located near the border of Queensland and NSW. We’re three hours from Brisbane, two hours from Toowoomba and close to the coastal areas.

I think I’ve heard of you guys, what are you famous for?

We’re well known for being the coldest place in Queensland, stunning wineries and producing 95% of the State’s apples.

Wow, did it really snow in your town last year?

Yes it did! For the first time in thirty years Queensland experienced a magical blanket of snow in Stanthorpe in 2015.

Sounds good, where can I buy tickets?

What should I bring to Stanthorpe?

It’s going to be cold (we’re over 800 meters above sea level!) so bring warm clothes such as hats, scarves, gloves and a good jacket. Pack a blanket for those cool Granite Belt nights. If you’re going ice-skating or playing in the snow we advise you to bring a change of clothes.

Where should we stay in the area?

Keep an eye on our Facebook page for accommodation updates and information.

Can I post photos to social media?

Yes, we’d love you to! Use our hashtag #snowflakesinstanthorpe to capture your winter experiences.

Can I bring my animals into the showgrounds?

Unfortunately we can only permit service animals in the area. We have dogs booked as entertainment and can’t put them at risk.
